Prosthetics

A gentle, non-surgical alternative for healing

Each prosthetic nipple is sculpted and cast from an impression taken directly from the client or from one of my anatomical molds.

Clients can choose to have impressions taken in person — either in a private studio or clinical setting — or via a mailed kit for at-home casting. The kit includes everything needed to make a comfortable, skin-safe impression that can be sent back for molding which traditionally happens prior to surgical intervention or matching an existing nipple. Semi custom (if surgery has already taken place) is also available.

From that impression, I create a detailed silicone reproduction that captures the natural topography and subtle individuality of the nipple-areolar complex.

Each piece is tinted and finished by hand, allowing me to match the client’s unique skin tone and undertones with accuracy and sensitivity. The result is a custom, wearable artwork designed to restore both form and emotional wholeness.

The prosthetics are made using platinum-cure silicone — a soft, medical-grade silicone known for its skin-safe and lifelike properties.

Pigmentation is achieved using silicone-compatible colorants and finishes designed for long-term durability and realism. Each tone is built in translucent layers to mimic the way light interacts with real skin.

For secure application, I use Telesis medical adhesive, which is widely used in prosthetic and reconstructive applications and can be safely removed with medical adhesive removers.

The surface finish is completed with a flexible silicone paint system for natural color blending and fine detail.

All materials are skin-safe, hypoallergenic, and designed for comfortable wear but listening to your body is key -

  • If you have sensitive, healing, or post-surgical skin, consult your care provider before extended wear

  • Do not apply over open wounds or irritated skin

  • Patch test adhesive on another area of skin if you’re unsure

Your body’s needs may change over time — that’s normal.

Materials

This work sits at the intersection of medical art and emotional restoration.

For many people — post-mastectomy clients, gender-affirming surgery patients, or anyone seeking to reclaim body confidence — these prosthetics are more than aesthetic. They represent belonging in one’s own body again.

My goal is to bridge art, medicine, and lived experience — creating tangible expressions of healing that are deeply personal yet universally human.

Vision & Intent

A Gentle Reminder

These nipples are not meant to replace what was lost. They are meant to offer choice. You can wear them:

  • daily

  • occasionally

  • ceremonially

  • or not at all

This work can bring up unexpected feelings — relief, grief, joy, sadness, or nothing at all. Take breaks. Decide not to wear them at all or wear them all the time! There is no required relationship to these nipples.

“I wanted to thank you for everything - for giving me back this sensation of feeling complete. Of seeing myself as whole, once again. There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude.”
