From the All About Love series
Inspired by bell hooks’ All About Love, Love and Community is a dynamic, large-scale sculptural wall installation exploring individuality, belonging, and the transformative power of collective care.
Composed of individually cast forms, each distinct in shape, size, texture, and colour, the work celebrates the beauty of human difference while recognizing the connections that bind us together. This piece can be installed and arranged differently depending on the final space demonstrating that the idea of community is not static, but continually creating together.
The forms gather and flow across the wall, creating a vibrant, evolving composition that challenges conventional ideals of bodily perfection and invites viewers to reconsider what it means to belong.
Rooted in hooks’ belief that love is a practice extending beyond personal relationships into our communities, this work offers a playful yet powerful reminder that our differences do not diminish our connections. They make them richer.
